New Emplacement Metods in Limestone Aquifers (NEMLA)

Start date: Jan 2nd, 2013
Finish date: Dec 23rd, 2016

The intent of NEMLA was to develop new emplacement methods in limestone that provide us with the same data quality and density as MIP-probes in the overburden with similar (or at least comparable) costs as in the overburden.

In an innovation process, four concepts were considered particularly promising and were chosen for possible further development. However, before any or all of those concepts could become projects, a feasibility study of the applicability of the MIP in limestone was necessary.

This feasibility study was carried out in 2015-2016 with negative results for the current MIP technology. See the report below for further details.
